MICEX (Moscow)
Year: 2008, Week: 3

Provided with extremely negative inflow of negative external information, RTS index plummeted by 6,69% this week, with -4,52% collapse only on Wednesday, therefore, flashing back to value of 2159,10 which it had in mid-November. VSE (Vilnius)
Year: 2008, Week: 3
Lithuanian Stock Market Overview
Vilnius Stock Exchange experienced another bearish week, pushing down the OMX Vilnius index to 483.90 – a drop of 5.81% to the level at which the market was 8 months ago. It seems that the Baltics are simply following the general trends of markets worldwide, thus one should observe the latter in order to make a prediction for the direction to which VSE will turn. While the week started very pessimistically, Thursday and Friday showed a slowdown of the recession, giving the investors a hope that the bottom has been reached.
