This week the OMX Vilnius index dropped by 5.10% and closed with value of 515.50. Comparing with the previous week, the trading was quite intensite with total turnover of 16 977 966.68 EUR and 6 215 deals. However, there were no rises versus 11 falls in the main list and 7 companies advanced versus 19 dropped in the OMX Vilnius secondary list. The biggest winner this week was from the secondary list - Klaipėdos baldai (KBL1L) with only 12 deals. The biggest losers were Gubernija (GUB1L), Sanitas (SAN1L) and Panevėžio statybos trestas (PTR1L).
Once again Ūkio bankas (UKB1L) was the most popular among the investors this week. This was reflected by the biggest number of deals equal to 1 853 and the biggest turnover of 4 628 970.51 EUR. Nevertheless the number of deals doubled and the turnover almost trippled (comparing to the previuos week), the value of this stock decreased by 7.02% from 1.22 to 1.14 EUR. Such huge interest in this share was affected by the announcement on 21 November that a syndicated loan of 48 million EUR was extended to Ūkio bankas. However, on 22 November this stock faced its lowest price this week of 1.05 EUR. Since then the value of this price was increasing till the end of the trading period. Considered everything, this share is predicted to gain value next week.
The biggest decrease was made by Gubernija (GUB1L), one of the oldest industrial brewery in Lithuania, which stocks fell down by 20% from 0.36 to 0.3 EUR. The number of deals was 7 and turnover reached just 1 909.88 EUR. The shares started to decline in the beginning of November and this trend continues mainly because of the company‘s results of 3 quarters. Gubernija had the amount of 0.458 EUR of pre-audit losses and this fact will probably influence the declining position of the shares of Gubernija in the nearest future.
The most succesfull mover this week was Klaipedos baldai (KBL1L), the biggest Lithuanian manufacturer of furniture. Shares of the company gained by 8.33% from 0.88 to 0.96 EUR while the number of deals reached 12 and company managed to make the turnover of 8 005.90 EUR. The stocks of the company were fluctuating almost half a year and suddenly in the start of this month it plummeted a lot and now came back to its previous position. It seems that the alteration of the Lithuanian stocks value impacted these changes.
The second winner of the week was DnB NORD bankas (NDL1L), which stocks increased by 4.23%. The bank had only 6 deals this week and the turnover of 714.2 EUR. This bank announced that they will rise interest rates from November 12th. This could be one of the cases why shares of the bank suddenly increased.
