Finnair (FIA1A) shares have increased by 4.16% to 14.25 EUR per share. The reason for such an increase is the Board of Directors decision to propose to the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting that a dividend of EUR 0.10 per share be paid for the financial year 2006. Finnair is the fifth oldest airline in the world, which traces its origins to Aero, established in 1923.
Atria Yhtymä Oyj (ATRAV) is an international food group listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. The group conducts operations in Finland, Sweden, Russia, Estonia and Lithuania. The price of their shares increased by 8.63% and reached 20.24 EUR per share. The reason for such increase is acquisition of a company – AB Sardus, which is one of Sweddish leading producers of sandwich toppings and suppliers of frozen foods.
KONE Oyj (KNEBV) is one of the world’s leading elevator and escalator companies. The share price of the company decreased by -1.86% this week to 45.45 EUR per share. This can be explained by the announcement on February 21 that the European Commission found KONE’s subsidiaries in Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands to have been involved in local anticompetitive practices. KONE will now have to pay a EUR 142 million fine.
Elektrobit Group (EBG1V) prices have been steadily decreasing since the beginning of the month until the 21st of February. Since then, they started to recover, however the total result for the week is still a decrease of 3.02%. The price is now 1.90 EUR per share. Shareholders are waiting for the Annual General Meeting, which will take place on 14th of March. Because of many changes planned to be implemented in the company during the meeting, investors are not expecting good results in the near future and this is the reason for the big decrease of shares prices during the month.
